Peculiar People

But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people; that you should show forth the praises of him who has called you out of darkness into his marvellous light. - The Bible

We are an unusual people (Christians) - a people who if we follow Him, then we go agaisnt the grain, are the grity wet sand in the clothing of this world and do not confrom to the ways and practices of this world: greed, wanting your neighbors stuff (literally or figuratively), lying, cheating, putting ourseles before others, est.

We are an unusual people (Christians) - if we do not truely follow Him, then we proclaim Him but do not do as he says and are hypocrytes who then do not go agaisnt the grain, are not the grity wet sand in the clothing of this world and do confrom to the ways and practices of this world: greed, wanting your neighbors stuff (literally or figuratively), lying, cheating, putting ourseles before others, est.

The first way we are peculiar to the world and its ways. The second way we are truely peculiar - peculiar to God and the name "Christian".

But you are the ones chosen by God, chosen for the high calling of priestly work, chosen to be a holy people, God's instruments to do his work and speak out for him, to tell others of the night-and-day difference he made for you—from nothing to something, from rejected to accepted.

1 Peter 2:9 (The Message)
